While Viagra has dominated the erectile dysfunction market since 1998, there are now choices. Along with Viagra, both Cialis and Levitra have proven to be effective. Now, though, men must decide which one is right for them. Specific needs can be met and once you find the one that you need, you can be well on your way to sexual satisfaction.
What all three of these drugs have in common is that they fall under the class of PDE-5 inhibitors. All have been proven to work in 70% of men with erectile dysfunction problems. Finally, all three of these medications require sexual stimulation in order to initiate the effects of it.
The very first of the three erectile dysfunction medications introduced is Viagra. This medication only takes around 14 minutes to be fully absorbed into the body. This is, of course, if you take it on an empty stomach. The main complaint is that when taken on a full stomach, Viagra takes up to 30 minutes to take effect. Soon, it loses up to 50% of its maximal effect every 4 hours. The side effects of using Viagra include upset stomach, bright vision, facial flushing, and headaches.
Levitra was a newer version of Viagra that was soon released after the success of Viagra. While the foundation of Levitra is basically the same, there is a slight chemical difference in it. The differences found in Levitra have been proven to be most effective in more difficult groups. It takes up to 45 minutes for Levitra to take full effect. This may be worth it for some users when they consider that eating or drinking does not negatively affect the drug. The negative side effects that some users of Levitra have experienced include a runny or stuffy nose, flushing, or headaches. Finally, Levitra is said to last for a longer time than Viagra.
Cialis is the very latest in erectile dysfunction medications to be released. It is sometimes referred to as "the weekender" because it has been known to have lasting effects of up to 100 hours. More common, though, it is known to last around 36 hours. Consumption of food does not affect the absorption of Cialis and the effects are usually at a maximum 2 hours after a meal. Depending on the age of the patient, the effects of Cialis can be seen to last between 16 and 22 hours. This is dependent upon the ages of the patients who use it. The side effects are mild but should be noted: muscle aches, upset stomach, and headaches.
Cialis is proven to be the strongest of the three PDE-5 inhibitors. Like all three, Calais can be found in any pharmacy. |
